In these uncertain times SHIPPING Today and Yesterday and WARSHIPS International Fleet Review are doing all we can to minimise any impact of the COVID-19 outbreak when it comes to delivering our publications to their eager readers.
We have always been impressed at the sense of community in the maritime world. After all, seafarers know only too well about isolating and counter-measures to keep well. We are aiming to chart a steady course and hope that we can help our loyal readers weather stormy seas, playing a key role in the battle to avoid cabin fever. The merchant fleets and navies are still out there doing their jobs and so we will do our best to relay what they are up to around the globe.

Please note the subscription offices will be closed from midday Friday 23rd December 2022 and reopen 9am Tuesday 3rd January 2023.
NOTE TO SUBSCRIBERS: The January 2023 issue is in the post and we are aware that due to postal delays some subscribers are still awaiting their copy. Royal Mail are on strike again Friday 23rd and Saturday 24th December and we kindly ask you to wait until we are back in the office in the New Year to contact us if you still have not received your magazine by then. Due to the increase in new cases of Omicron, the government has announced it will operate under the code ‘red’ of the traffic lights COVID-19 protection framework. As a result, New Zealand Post has advised that they are experiencing significant delays processing and delivering items.
New Zealand Post has updated that customers should expect delays of between 10-20 days for International parcels entering New Zealand, particularly for deliveries into Auckland and Hamilton. We will provide an update as soon as this is available.
PREVIOUS UPDATES
17th April 2020
Royal Mail have updated their list of countries affected by the outbreak. Post to New Zealand has resumed but please allow some time for them to clear any backlogs.
We have also been made aware that although post to Australia is still operational it is taking longer than usual for items to get to our customers due to measures put in place to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
14th April 2020
We have decided to minimise the risk to those who produce, distribute and buy the magazines via the shops, which should also release some pressure on those who are also involved in providing supplies to our hospitals and our other essential services. So the next issue for both magazines will be one issue for June/July 2020.
Special note for Subscribers – You will not miss an issue. If you have paid for 6 issues, that’s what you’ll receive and likewise for those who’ve bought a 1 Year subscription, you will receive 12 issues.
This does mean that your expiry issue will move on by one issue. For example if you currently end with November 2020 issue you will now end with the December 2020 issue.
*Please note on sale dates are subject to change at this time whilst restrictions remain in place in the UK and abroad.
14th April 2020 Update
We are happy to announce that Digital copies are now available for both our SHIPPING T&Y and WARSHIPS IFR magazines. This should be particularly helpful for our overseas readers who are under restrictions themselves and save the delay of the postal service.
The cost is just £32.00 for 12 issues, wherever you live in the world, and is available via our webshop, along with print subscriptions.
3rd April 2020
Postal services have been suspended to New Zealand and South Africa due to restrictions there. We are still producing magazines and will put them in the post, but please be aware copies sent to countries with a lockdown in force may take longer to reach you than normal.
